What We Do Each Week
Each day has a different focus.
Homeschool families can join whenever it works for them.
Mondays • 12-2 PM
Level Up
Bring something you want to learn, practice, or finish. Work on school assignments, read, build a skill, or make progress on a personal project alongside others.
Tue/Thu • 2–4 PM
YMCA Hangout
Meet us at the YMCA to swim, play sports, exercise, or spend time together. Choose what you want to do, challenge yourself, and enjoy being active with other families.
Wednesdays • 12–2 PM
CannonCraft
Bring something to make or join us for Minecraft, LEGO, drawing, crafts, and other creative projects. Create at your own pace and turn ideas into something real.
Fridays • 12–2 PM
Game On
Play board games, card games, video games, and other shared games. Learn something new, take on friendly challenges, and keep coming back to improve.
Why Cannon Castle Exists
Most education prepares people to pass tests.
Cannon Castle exists to help people prepare for life.
We want kids, teens, and adults to build the skills, relationships, confidence, and experience they need to create a life they are proud of.
That means learning how to care for yourself, help people, master money, and serve God.
We focus on dreams because pursuing a dream changes you.
You have to choose a direction, face challenges, learn new skills, and become the kind of person who can live that dream.
The weekly meetups are only the beginning.
They give people a place to practice, create, take on challenges, build relationships, and turn ideas into real-life progress.
Our goal is simple:
Help people grow into the person who can live more dreams.
The Ideas Behind Cannon Castle
Everything we do is guided by four pillars that shape how we live.
What It Looks Like
Cannon Castle meetups are simple. People of different ages work, create, play, and spend time together.
Games happen around the tables. Ideas fill the whiteboards. Skills grow through practice. Projects take shape week by week.
Every meetup looks a little different.
That’s part of the adventure.
Where We Meet
Join us each week at Nexus and the Greater Waco YMCA.
- Free to attend
- Drop in when you can
- Ages 13+ may attend without a parent
- Children 12 and under must have a parent or guardian present
- Food and drinks available on site
- Free Wi-Fi
- YMCA membership or guest pass required
- A parent or guardian must remain on site with minors
- Activities depend on facility availability
- Pools, gyms, racquetball courts, fitness areas, and social spaces available
Where This Is Headed
Right now, Cannon Castle is small.
We’re starting with simple weekly meetups where people can practice skills, take on challenges, build relationships, and make real-life progress.
But this is just the beginning.
Over time, we hope to grow into a learning community that includes:
- Young adult opportunities
- High school experiences
- Middle school challenges
- Elementary adventures
And eventually, a campus where people come together to learn skills, build relationships, pursue dreams, and prepare for real life.
